About Kelley Wear, MD
Dr. Kelley Wear is a board certified hand surgeon who moved to Colorado in 1990 where she received her BA at the University of Colorado, Boulder. 

She received her M.D. at St. Louis University and did the majority of her surgery training in New York. 

She completed a plastic surgery fellowship at Columbia University College for Physicians and Surgeons and an accredited hand surgery fellowship at the University of Connecticut Combined Fellowship. 

She has published extensively & has won multiple prestigious research competitions.

Dr. Kelley Wear describes herself as a "live and let live" hand and wrist surgeon and nature enthusiast. 

She is a marathon runner and avid hiker. She also enjoys writing and photography. 

Dr. Wear is a human rights and children's advocate. She has travelled extensively, evaluating the living conditions of various underdeveloped countries and assisting remote villages. She spent several months in Katmandu, Nepal where she performed surgeries for the indigent during a Maoist insurgency. She continues to be an active member of Physicians for Human Rights.

Dr. Wear strongly supports the efforts of the World Wildlife Fund and their heroic efforts to preserve wildlife facing extinction and the habitats they depend on for survival. 

Dr. Wear is a strong advocate of environmental conservation. She has supported several rainforest conservation projects. She promotes the zero waste philosophy.

Dr. Wear believes that it is our social obligation to help alleviate suffering and to respect our planet.
